FAT FRIDAY: Week 11

Another weight loss week! WOOHOO!

I was down a TOTAL of 3.5 last week, and I lost another 1.5 this week, bringing the total lost to 5! WOOHOO! It's a slow process, and I didn't do quite as good with my exercise as I did in previous weeks, but it was a CRAZY busy week so I'm not complaining.

I had this TOTALLY funny post planned for today, but instead I'm gonna be a wee bit serious. My daddy is in the hospital this morning (he went in last night) and they are unsure what's wrong, but think he may have had a heart attack. He's on the blood thinner anyway for other issues and they think that might have prevented the attack from being worse or showing up (I totally may be botching that explanation) but anyway, he's doing better this morning but they are running a bunch of tests still.

So.... if you get a chance today, I'd appreciate it if you could offer up a prayer for him. Also, my Gabby has been sick off and on this week with a stomach virus... and it's wearing on my nerves BIG time. We think she's better for a day, and then she has another episode. *sigh* It's just been a stressful week.

Anyway, Sorry to be a downer today.

BUT!!!! I have HAPPY news, that isn't really news, but did you know that God is VERY good? That he HEALS and that he LOVES us and takes CARE of us ALL of the time? If you didn't, just wanted to make sure I spread that GOOD news. Even when all else seems like this whirlwind of problems, Jesus is with us, holding our hands, carrying us at times when we need it.

And that, my friends, is pretty cool!

Ah Krista. What a week. And I'm sure it was scary to get that phone call about your dad being in the hospital. Thanks for sharing it so that we can be praying! And you're right, God is always good, even when hardships creep in around us.

I'll be praying for your dad and your little girl - plus an extra dose of sanity in the face of stress for you.

Congrats on the weight loss, too. I blew it on the exercise front. Between the kids going back to school and a pulled something in my hip, my treadmill is lonely.

Thanks, everyone, for your prayers!

Good news is that Gabby seems to be doing better. Bad news is that we got not so positive news about my dad. We'll know more on Monday, but just please continue to keep him in your prayers. *sigh*

Hey, Krista, I'll be praying for your dad and Gabby and you while taking care of Gabby. :)

Fat Friday... I don't remember what I weighed last Friday, but this Friday I'm down a total of 16.4. I started with 140 to lose, and now I have 123.6 to lose. :) (Okay, so I just looked back at last week's FF comment and determined that I've lost 1.8 this week.)

Congrats on the 5 lbs! I have a feeling my scale is going in the opposite directions as yours. I need to gain some self-control.

Anyway - I love the GOOD news! Thanks for the reminder!!!
